About Genetix Anavar 20mg
Oxandrolone (Anavar) is a mild oral steroid that was prescribed for weight regain after surgery, burns and severe infections, and for bone pain from osteoporosis.

How it works
It binds androgen receptors, does not convert to estrogen and has strong effects on protein synthesis and nitrogen balance. Like all oral 17-alpha-alkylated steroids, it passes through the liver.

Clinical reference dose
Clinical reference: the Oxandrin label used 2.5–20 mg a day, split into 2–4 doses, for 2–4 weeks, repeated only if needed. The US withdrew it from the market in 2023.

Combinations and interactions

- Compared with stanozolol (Winstrol), another oral used for a lean look; both strain the liver and lipids.
- Taking two oral 17-alpha-alkylated steroids together multiplies liver stress; doctors never combine them.
- Men usually take it with testosterone because it suppresses natural production.
Interactions to know
- Warfarin: oxandrolone strongly raises INR; bleeding has been reported. This is a serious interaction.
- Alcohol and acetaminophen: add to liver strain.
- Diabetes medicines: blood sugar may fall.

Side effects and risks
Liver
Raised liver enzymes and, rarely, cholestasis or liver tumours with long use.
Cholesterol
HDL can drop sharply even at moderate doses.
Shutdown
Natural testosterone falls, more at higher doses.
Women
Voice deepening, clitoral enlargement and body hair can be permanent.

Are under 18, pregnant, have liver disease, high cholesterol, prostate or breast cancer, or take warfarin.
